I need insurance for a car i am buying tommorow and my presend insurance company is closed for the weekend and i need to take the car back to my town over the weekend

In Ontario there are no insurers who will insure you for that short a term. The shortest that I know of is 3 months, and even then it won’t be with any standard insurer. The best you can do is take a three month policy and cancel it after two days. You’ll get dinged with a short rate cancellation but there’s no other solution as far as I can see.
As a side note here in B.C. the government insurer, ICBC, offers temporary permits (insurance and license) from 1 to 15 days. I guess that’s the difference between an all private system and a mixed government/private system.
