Temporary Car Insurance Blog

I am currently looking to change car insurance companies. I am in the UK. My current car insurance ends at Noon on 29th March. Since my insurance ends at Noon, should I start my new insurance with another company on 29th March so that the two overlap (for half a day!) or should I start the new one on 30th March, so I go for half a day without insurance? I assume that most insurance car policies start at midnight and you can’t change the start time online, only the start date? What would be best?

Try the telephone and ask them to start it from noon, believe it or not thats how it was done before the internet.

I just want to know how much car insurance will cost me i know a lot has to do with the cost such as what type of car and such. I want an estimate because no insurance website has a quote for new drivers.

What everyone else is saying.. Right around 200 a month. If you haven’t bought a car yet try not to go for a red one, as insuring red cars is actually a little more expensive. And avoid the sports car with crazy horse power and whatnot. Just go for a very safe, dependable car. And they will ask how much you drive, like if you drive to school and to work. If you do, make sure that you keep the commute times short.. And if you travel a whole lot, you might not want to say that. Just keep the amount of time you spend on the road very minimal. The more they think you drive, the higher your insurance will be. Don’t out right lie though.
